Position Summary:
WorryFree Design is looking for an Entry Level IT Specialist Intern to provide technical assistances on computer systems. The incumbent must possess solid technical knowledge to support our stakeholders across the company and should be an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and provide technical support
- Maintain and organize our IT resources
- Monitor, maintain, and resolve technical issues related to network interruptions
- Responsible for OS and applications updates
- Responsible for system backups
- Responsible for websites maintenance which includes CMS backups, upgrades
- Monitor, respond, and resolve technical issue via our ticketing system
- Perform remote troubleshooting for various customers via LogMeIn or TeamViewer
- Coordinate with the next IT levels to troubleshoot more complex technical problems
- Complete detailed reports listing requests for technical assistance steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved
- Various other tasks
Requirements:
- Information Technology, Computer Science, or any similar program
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
- Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Mac OS
- Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla
- Experience with hosting Control Panels
- Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, jQuery
- Basic network infrastructure knowledge
- Comptia A+ a nice to have though not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills and must be able to adapt to various personalities and management styles
- Dedicated, organized, and hard working
